NY BOK: «VANNLILJE PÅ HAVET»

En jente lever et lykkelig og fredelig liv, men blir tvunget til å flykte da det bryter ut krig. Navnes hennes er Vannlilje. Akkurat som blomsten har hun dype røtter sammen med familie og venner på hjemstedet. Men plutselig befinner hun seg på havet, i en åpen båt med fremmede, på en farlig reise til et ukjent land.
Halvparten av alle mennesker som flykter fra krig og konflikt i verden i dag er barn. De kan ha mange ulike grunner til å flykte. Det kan være en politisk utrygg situasjon, krig, naturkatastrofer, hungersnød eller religiøs og kulturell bakgrunn. Hvordan kan vi snakke med barn om krig? Hvordan håndterer vi vanskelige, men uungåelige temaer?
Boka lanseres 13. juni på et seminar arrangert av OsloMet og Norsk barnebokinstitutt. I tillegg til boklansering blir det høytlesing med musikk, faglig innlegg og samtale.

Romana Romanyshyn and Andriy Lesiv from Ukraine were invited to LitFest Bergen. On Saturday 10 February they presented the book "How War Changed Rondo" and were interviewed by Heidi Bøhagen ( program post ). On Sunday 11 February they held a workshop for children including a reading of "How War Changed Rondo", and in addition the musician duo Eva Pfitzenmaier and Stephan Meidell had created a sound performance based on their book about sound and hearing ( program post ).

Svein Størksen was invited to participate in a panel discussion during the Jaipur Book Mark. The title of the program post was "Beauty and the Book", and the theme was: "The book as an object of enduring beauty takes shape under the discerning eye of outstanding designers. An inspiring session where extraordinary talents talk about their creative process and the outcome that we get to hold and cherish.”

Magikon, represented by Svein Størksen, participated in the children's and youth book fair in Shanghai. In addition to meetings with Chinese publishers, he took part in a panel discussion on science fiction literature.

Today we opened the exhibition Nihao Shanghai in Galleri Grafill in Oslo. The exhibition is the result of an artists residency that Mari Kanstad Johnsen, Bjørn Rune Lie and Kristin Roskifte had in Shanghai in November 2019, organized by Magikon and CCBF, the international children's book fair in Shanghai.

Artist residency in Shanghai

Magikon, in collaboration with the children's book fair CCBF in Shanghai and Carolina Ballester, organized an artists residency in Shanghai for Mari Kanstad Johnsen, Bjørn Rune Lie and Kristin Roskifte. Their task was to experience the city and get inspired to create pictures for an exhibition. Included in the trip were also activities at CCBF, as well as visits to schools, hospitals and the consulate general.
