The Balloon Hunter / Anniken Bjørnes and Mari Kanstad Johnsen

The protagonist in this story is a boy who is a patient in a hospital’s end-of-life department. He has reconciled himself with his destiny. The family is there and supports him. Together they manage to keep a positive, loving focus despite the tragic circumstances. This book tells a warm and colourful story of love and care within a family in a difficult situation. The hospital situation is not shown and the whole subject matter is very discretely handled. The overall feeling of the book is harmonic, beautiful and hopeful.
